First-year students applying for admission to KSU Journey Honors College must meet one of the following eligibility requirements:
Eligibility Rule One:
Application essays assessed to be of Honors quality
and
A KSU-calculated high school GPA of 3.5
Eligibility Rule Two:
Application essays assessed to be of Honors quality
and
KSU-calculated high school GPA of 3.25 and an SAT (composite) of 1300 OR an ACT of 28
***First-year students who do not meet the minimum criteria for admission may apply to KSU Journey Honors College after their first semester at KSU. At that point, they are evaluated as current KSU students and must attain a KSU adjusted GPA of 3.25 and have 12 or more earned college credit hours.
Students with a KSU adjusted GPA of 3.25 and who have completed up to 45 credit hours may be admitted into the Honors Research Scholar or Honors Scholar track
who have completed between 45 and 60 credit hours may be admitted into the Honors in the Major - Pathway I track or Honors in the Major - Pathway II trackStudents with a transfer GPA of 3.5 and
who have completed between 15 and 45 credit hours may be admitted into the Honors Research Scholar or Honors Scholar track who have completed between 45 and 60 credit hours may be admitted into the Honors in the Major - Pathway I track or Honors in the Major - Pathway II track
