Class Planning

  • 1. ENGL 1101: Composition I*
    2. MATH 1001: Quantitative Reasoning OR MATH 1111: College Algebra OR STAT 1401: Elementary Statistics
    5. General Education Class OR Exploratory Class 

    If you are bringing in AP, IB, DEP, or any type of transfer college credit, this plan may need to be adjusted. You can always talk to your Owl Advisor for guidance.
    *Critical Class for Progression.

  • 1. ENGL 1102: Composition II*
    2. DATA 1501: Introduction to Data Science or STAT 1401: Elementary Statistics
    (If you took STAT 1401 in Semester One you can also choose MATH 1001 or MATH 1111.)
    5. General Education Class OR Exploratory Class

    • Exploratory Classes are classes outside of General Education that can introduce you to a major you may be interested in.
    • These courses are open to all students regardless of their major.
    • Other majors have introductory courses, but students may be required to apply for admission to that program or submit a change of major request before they are allowed to enroll.
    • These courses can be used towards the degree requirements for the major under which they are listed.
    • If you end up choosing a different major, these courses may still be able to be used as related studies or free elective courses.
